The Digital Health Readiness Index (DHRI) is a proprietary assessment methodology that evaluates digital maturity across six evidence-based pillars, while translating the findings into an actionable transformation strategy. Built from operational experience inside large-scale health businesses. Sector-agnostic in structure, context-specific in application.
The framework
The six pillars
01
Leadership & Governance
Strategic commitment, digital ownership, investment governance and policy compliance.
02
Technology Infrastructure
Systems integration, connectivity, cyber security and architecture readiness for future digital services.
03
Data & Analytics
Data quality, governance frameworks, analytics capability and population health intelligence.
04
Workforce Digital Capability
Digital literacy, training programs, clinical co-design culture and change readiness.
05
Patient & Consumer Experience
Digital access, self-management tools, remote monitoring and experience measurement.
06
Innovation & Transformation
Innovation pipeline, change management maturity, ecosystem engagement and benefits realisation.
Maturity scoring
Each pillar is assessed on a 0–100 scale, producing a composite DHRI score and a domain-level breakdown:
| Score | Maturity level | Characteristics |
|---|---|---|
| 0–20 | Digital Initiation | No formal digital strategy, reactive technology decisions, significant capability gaps. |
| 21–40 | Digital Emerging | Awareness exists but strategy and governance are informal; early adoption underway. |
| 41–60 | Digital Developing | Strategy defined, systems in place, gaps in workforce and data capability remain. |
| 61–80 | Digitally Progressing | Strong foundations, active transformation programs, measurable outcomes emerging. |
| 81–100 | Digital Leader | Digital deeply embedded, innovation culture active, recognised as sector benchmark. |
